Mountain Residence No. 02, [Utah] US
This project sits directly across the street from another residence. From the beginning, we knew there was going to be a dialogue between the two structures. While each responds to the unique characteristics of their respective sites, they are also influenced by eachother. In the case of this residence, the overall form can be understood through the typical monoslope roof, wherein there are two such profiles starting at different portions of the site. The profiles converge together and frame an entrance, with a large window looking out at Brian Head Resort to the east.
